Cora Balls

Cora Balls collect the microfibres from your clothes which in turn helps protect our precious marine life, our soils and the human food chain. Cora Balls are an effective way to reduce the impact of micro-plastics in our Waterways. 

Why Cora Balls are great!

• Did you know that during the wash, the synthetic fabrics in our clothes shed microfibres. These head out to the ocean as Plastic Pollution know as Microplastics! 
• Microplastics pollute our oceans and waterways.
• Cora Balls are blue for our oceans, working endlessly like coral to filter out water. Every-time you pop your Cora Ball in the wash you will be reminded that we need to take better care of our oceans and that this small action has huge effects for our precious marine life and our own health. 

Heres some more information on Cora Balls:   

• No lifetime - have your Cora Ball forever!
• Simply add your Cora Ball into your washing machine! (works in top loaders, front loaders and wash/dry combo machines).
• Cora Balls collect mircofibre fuzz which is made during washing
• The microfibre fuzz can then be disposed of appropriately (best option for now is into the trash like dryer fluff)
• Just one fleece jacket can shed up to 250,000 pieces per garment, per wash. Approx one third of microfibres per load, are caught by the Cora Ball. Approximately one third of microfibres per load, are caught per Cora Ball
• Made of 100% recycled and 100% recyclable soft and stretchy plastic - physical and chemical properties will be maintained in the washing machine temperature extremes

There are many more things you can do to help!

Try to reduce synthetic materials in your home, and opt for natural materials first, for example: 

• Linen (from Flax), silk (silk worms), cotton (traditionally is very pesticide and water heavy so try to support organic farming), wool, jute, hemp, sisal, ramie, mohair, kenaf, cashmere.

Our store is based in Taupo, New Zealand but we can ship worldwide. All product prices are in New Zealand dollars, as well as shipping prices.

Orders received by 10am, we aim to dispatched the same day on an overnight service to the North Island, two day service to the South Island. Orders received after 10am will be dispatched the next working day.

This cost is based on standard items - heavy or large items will need to be costed before being sent. If you are an international customer we will be in touch to confirm shipping costs and times. 

Click & Collect
Online orders can be collected from our Taupo location. Orders placed for collection are usually ready for collection the next day (But you will receive a ‘Pick-Up Confirmation’ when it is ready) and these can be picked up between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 4pm Saturday, Sunday and on Public Holidays. 

Payments
Payments can be made at the checkout by credit or debit cards and Afterpay. Credit cards accepted include Visa and MasterCard. We do not accept Diners Club or America Express.
