The Takaro Te Reo Maori card game is incredibly simple yet entertaining and fun for the whole whanau. Each card features a number of symbols. Each of these symbols will have a direct Maori translation, which players will need to memorise and learn. Players will flip over two cards competing to find the matching symbols; the first player to call out the correct translation wins the round. By the end of the game, players will be able to confidently recall a number of the symbols and their corresponding te Reo Maori translations helping to expand their vocabulary.

The game is incredibly simple yet entertaining and fun for the whole whānau. Each card features a number of symbols. Each of these symbols will have a direct Māori translation, which players will need to memorize and learn. Tākaro can be played by ages 4+ with each round lasting 10-15 minutes. It will rely on the recognition of 57 various symbols, and the correct pronunciation of their Māori names.
By the end of the game, players will be able to confidently recall a number of the symbols and their corresponding te Reo Māori translations helping to expand their vocabulary.

Our store is based in Taupo, New Zealand but we can ship worldwide. All product prices are in New Zealand dollars, as well as shipping prices.
Orders received by 10am, we aim to dispatched the same day on an overnight service to the North Island, two day service to the South Island. Orders received after 10am will be dispatched the next working day.

Click & Collect
Online orders can be collected from our Taupo location. Orders placed for collection are usually ready for collection the next day (But you will receive a ‘Pick-Up Confirmation’ when it is ready) and these can be picked up between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 4pm Saturday, Sunday and on Public Holidays.
Payments
Payments can be made at the checkout by credit or debit cards and Afterpay. Credit cards accepted include Visa and MasterCard. We do not accept Diners Club or America Express.
