We’re a Stella Awards Finalist!

We’re very excited to share some news......Spacecraft is a finalist in the 2026 Stella Awards! And we’ve made the finals in not one, but two categories: Retail Royalty and Dream Team.

The Stella Awards celebrate the passion, creativity and dedication of local businesses and the experiences they create for their customers. They’re all about recognising the businesses that help make Taupō such a great place to live, work, visit and shop, so being part of the Stellas is pretty special.

For us, Spacecraft has always been about creating a store that’s a little different. A mix of fashion, homewares, gifts, kids, jewellery, plants and plenty of things we simply couldn’t resist. We love discovering brands you might not find everywhere, creating unexpected displays and making the store a place you want to wander around.

And then there’s our team. The people who bring the energy, ideas, product knowledge and personality to Spacecraft every day. Being recognised in the Dream Team category is a real highlight and a lovely acknowledgement of everything they put into the store.

We also couldn’t be celebrating this without our wonderful customers and supporters. Thank you for shopping with us, popping in for a browse, recommending us to friends, and supporting an independent Taupō business. It genuinely means a lot. 

The Public Vote is open!

Now we need your help! For the first time, the Stella Awards are giving the Taupō community a say through a Public Vote. Alongside the written entries and in-person judging, your votes will help decide the winners.

So, if you’d like to give Spacecraft a little extra love, we’d really appreciate your vote in the Retail Royalty section. You’ll need to include a few words about why you think Spacecraft is the most deserving business.

The winners will be announced on 11 September.....fingers crossed!
