THE STORE

Who exactly is Spacecraft?
We’re a boutique gift and lifestyle store on the corner of Te Heuheu & Ruapehu Streets, Taupo (officially 47 Te Heuheu Street). Sue and Jo hand-pick everything you see, from ethically made clothing to plants, Kiwi art, toys, and those brilliant little things you didn’t know you needed. If it’s not something we’d actually want ourselves, it doesn’t make the cut.

When are you open?
Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, weekends 9am–4pm. We’re open on public holidays too (same weekend hours). Pop in - there's lots to see!

Is everything in store also available online?
Mostly yes. Stock online reflects what we have in Taupo. But we do carry some one-off gems that haven’t made it to the site yet. Spotted something in-store that’s not online? Email us at shop@spacecraftcreative.co.nz and we’ll sort you out. We can do over the phone orders too. 

ORDERING & PAYMENT

How do I pay?
Online we accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay if you’d rather spread it across four fortnightly payments. Old-school layby is also available via bank transfer, just give us a call. All prices are in NZD.

Can I click & collect?
Absolutely. Place your order online and we’ll have it ready for collection from the Taupo store, usually the next day. You’ll get a “Pick-Up Confirmation” when it’s good to go. Collect during normal store hours. If you'd like it sooner just get in touch, I'm sure we can make it work. 

SHIPPING

How fast will my order arrive?
Orders in before 10am go out the same day. North Island: usually overnight. South Island: usually two days. Orders after 10am ship next working day. Most NZ orders come with tracking, no signature needed so if you don't want it left at the address let us know. Courier delays happen - we appreciate your patience when they do.

What does shipping cost?
New Zealand

  • Local Taupo (3330 zone): $10
  • Standard NZ next day: $12
  • Heavy/large items: $30–$59

Australia

  • 6–12 working days: $22
  • Heavy/large items: $45

Rest of the World

  • 10–18 working days: $35 (standard post)

Note: we’re currently unable to ship to the USA. Sorry, it's constantly changing situation with the tarriffs and addional shipping charges - we will update as things change.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes - worldwide, except the USA at this time. International orders go standard post. If you’re buying something heavy or oversized we’ll get in touch to confirm costs before anything goes anywhere.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Can I return something I bought online?
You have 14 days from purchase. The item needs to be unused, in its original packaging, and, this bit matters, not from the sale rack (sale items are final). Email us for a Return Authorisation number at shop@spacecraftcreative.co.nz. Return postage is on you, but once we receive and check the item your refund goes back to your original payment method within 7 days.

What can’t be returned?
Gift cards, health & personal grooming items, perishables (sorry, chocolate is a no), and anything bought on sale. Exchanges are only for items that arrive defective or damaged - same item, swap for swap.

GIFTS & REWARDS

I have no idea what to buy. Help?
We’ve got you. Browse gifts by price (under $30 through to over $100), or check out curated edits for baby gifts, wedding gifts, and more. Still stuck? Our staff picks page is exactly what it sounds like, the things we’d actually want. A Spacecraft gift card also never goes wrong.

What’s the Spacecadets club?
Our loyalty programme. Create an account, earn points with every dollar you spend (1 point per $1), and rack up extra points by leaving reviews, following us on social, or referring a friend. Points unlock real rewards, from a free Harmie vase at 300 points through to $120 off at 1500. Points don’t apply to sale items, but everything else counts.

What about sustainability - is that actually a thing for you?
It’s not a marketing line for us. Every brand and product we stock gets considered through a sustainability lens - eco-friendly, ethical, planet-happy. We stock vegan and cruelty-free options, natural bodycare, and try to stock mostly natural materials for our clothing. You can read more about how we approach it on our Sustainability page.
